SHARON ROSE
SOCIAL GERONTOLOGIST
Social Gerontologist, Sharon Rose, M.S., creates and implements programs for intergenerational communities and companies in the 50+ marketplace.
Her work includes innovating cross-generational activities and programs for healthy aging, education, inspiration, productivity and social engagement to improve the quality of life.
Nationally, she serves on the boards of Business Authority, Ageless Traveler (AT) and Life Planning Network (LPN). Another role with LPN, is Chair, Communications. Internationally, she is fully engaged with the British Society of Gerontology, Special Interest Group, Ageing Business and Society, and Silver Marketing Association.
For years, Sharon has worked collaboratively with her mother, SuperAger Edith Ginsberg, PhD, 99, who obtained her doctorate in lifelong learning at the age of 77. Together they have created environments and programs for healthy aging and intergenerational communities.
Earlier in her career, Sharon was Executive Director of the New York City Host Committee for the Grammy Awards. That position was the culmination of years of working in the entertainment industry with public and private sector leaders of New York City, and 11 years working in management for Loews Hotels, where she concentrated on branding, tourism marketing, and serving as a liaison to City and State government.
She received a Master’s degree in Gerontology, Management of Aging Services in 2017, from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and she was awarded membership in the Sigma Phi Omega Honorary Society. She has lived in several U.S. cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego as well as in South Florida, developing a strong global network of relationships.
