Mashika is a 2nd-year Master of Healthcare Design student who is concurrently completing a graduate certificate in Gerontology at Kent State University in Ohio. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Mashika graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Her background includes interning at LeVino Jones Medical Interiors, designing healthcare facilities at Peacock Partnership, and coordinating and designing Chick-fil-A kitchen equipment plans. Family health issues led Mashika to volunteering and advocacy, and eventually shifted her career focus to healthcare design. Mashika will graduate in May 2023.
