Loren Ostrow CEO of Living out

Loren Ostrow is a Los Angeles based businessperson, originally practicing as a commercial real estate lawyer in the former Los Angeles firm of Riordan and McKenzie.  Mr. Ostrow was a partner in KOAR, Inc., a developer of hotel products including five Embassy Suites Hotels nationally and the Pasadena, CA Hilton hotel, shopping centers, and condominiums. For the past almost 30 years, Mr. Ostrow has been active in the gaming industry as both a developer and operator serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of both Horseshoe Gaming and Pinnacle Entertainment. Since 2001, Mr. Ostrow has developed casinos for his own account with Silver Slipper Gaming, including the Silver Slipper Casino in Mississippi and the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Louisiana.

Mr. Ostrow has been actively involved in national LGBTQ leadership since 1993 - as a Board member and Co-chair of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the world’s largest LGBTQ organization, and as a Board member and Co-Chair of the National LGBTQ Task Force, the nation’s oldest continuing LGBTQ civil rights organization. Mr. Ostrow has also served as a Trustee and President of Congregation Kol Ami, a West Hollywood based synagogue serving the LGBTQ community.

Mr. Ostrow is embarking on a new business venture, Living Out, a developer of senior housing alternatives for the LGBTQ community. His first project, a 122-unit independent living community, which broke ground in November, 2021 is located in Palm Springs, CA.
